Global Green Power PLC Corporation ("GGPC").
GGPC is a Philippine Company that develops BIOMASS grid connected, decentralized, renewable energy power plants utilizing sustainable biomass resources such as agricultural crop and food processing wastes. GGPC does not use biomass that competes with the human food chain
GGPC is strategically positioned to efficiently construct and operate biomass fueled renewable energy power plants that embrace the global paradigm shift towards the development and use of clean, cost effective, renewable energy in the form of electricity: Clean energy generation that helps to mitigate climate change and avert the looming energy crisis that faces the Philippines today.
GGPC has targeted the Philippines for the construction and operation of biomass power plant projects of between 17.5 to 35 megawatts of electricity (MWe). The Philippines has one of the highest electricity prices within South East Asia. The opening up of the Philippines electricity market via the Wholesale Electricity Spot Market (“WESM”) called “Open Access”, the recent promulgation of the Renewable Energy Act and the abundance of readily available biomass as a fuel source makes the Philippines one of the most attractive markets for renewable biomass power generation, globally.
GGPC Biomass Power Plants are Renewable Energy (“RE”) Infrastructure that delivers extraordinary benefits to our host communities, local and national government as well as the environment.
GGPC is 40% owned by Global Green Power PLC (“GGP”), www.ggp-plc.com a UK Public Limited Company dedicated to the development of Renewable Energy projects globally that mitigate climate change and deliver socio-economic impacts.
Wherever GGPC builds a biomass power plant, the money previously extracted from the community to purchase foreign fossil fuels such as oil and coal to provide power are instead injected back into the local community. This is achieved through GGPC's purchase of biomass agricultural wastes to use as an alternative fuel source that displaces conventional fossil fuel power generation. These farming wastes are generally burnt or left to rot in the fields. The sustainable purchase of agricultural waste is environmentally friendly and provides a significant additional income to the local farming and host community whilst mitigating climate change.
THE BOTTOM LINE:
GGPC = Renewable Energy + Stable Power Supply + Socio-Economic Development + Energy Security + Sound Stewardship of the Environment.
